Thank you Barbara for the reminder that we need to refill our creative tanks, by going to a new place that adds new sensory input to the swirl in our heads. I am looking forward to doing the same next week in Mexico! Hugs.

Thanks for sharing your zen moment. We are in Florida. I have an event next weekend and was worried that the snow might keep us home so we left a day early. We were planning a vacation around the event anyway. Today my zen moment was walking on the dog friendly part of Daytona Beach. The weather was just right and I found a couple of shells. Heaven.

Beautiful picture! I love ginger beer.

Just stopping in to say I add my vote in favor of Athletic NA beer. It's what I order these days when I attend a monthly gathering of women.

That's just lovely. I'm sitting in upstate NY with 2 degree temps and awaiting a major snow storm, so I appreciate being able to live vicariously through you :-)

Luckily you can curl up with piles of cats!

That does help! Now if only they would do my writing or my taxes...

Thank you for sharing. Portland has the same blue skies but our trade winds are 28 degrees. Enjoy your vacation my friend, all the best to your girls in the basement.

That’s cold for Portland!

Yup, but today’s protest isn’t in Minneapolis. No problem.

Point taken. ❤️

I just discovered Athletic NA IPAs and I have some Free Wave chilling in the fridge to try out. I've been drinking Run Wild, which is good, but not enough to supplant my Lagunitas Daytime which does have a bit of alcohol. When I was in Japan I was delighted with array of NA beers. They were excellent. We're behind the curve here. I hope we catch up.

Thanks for sharing your trip. It was nice to get away for a moment with my morning coffee. I could almost feel the trade winds I remember from long ago when I was there.

My fav athletic is Wits Peak. I tastes like Blue Moon to me. Ironically, Blue Moon has released an NA version and it is too sweet.

Thank you for sharing that photo and giving me a two-minute getaway. I almost felt the breeze on my arm all the way here in CT (although that could be an arctic breeze today!). Enjoy the rest of your relaxing vacation.

I thought those of you bracing for the storm might like a waft of sunshine.

You one lucky Haoli. I used to live in Waikiki. The air is a palpable thing, isn’t it? If you want to get a feeling for the history of the place I recommend the Iolani Palace tour, and you might also drive over to the Diamond Head crater and go inside. It’s hard to see it from the outside, but it’s a round crater with a large flat field inside it. When the monarchy was overthrown, Hawaiians began gathering there for a counterstrike, but it was a fairly open secret and Liliuokalani told them to surrender. (As you probably have been told already, Diamond Head doesn’t refer to the crater. It’s the point of land that sticks out into the ocean channel and separates that current from the one that runs along the Honolulu side of the island.

How lucky you lived there! We are sadly back home but I really did love it. We had an excellent guide who took us on a deep tour of history and homesteads and had a staggering depth of knowledge. We didn’t get to Iolani, but spent a day at Bishop’s Palace and another at the Honolulu Art Museum. If I’d known about shangri-la in time to get tickets I would have done that, too. Next time.
